Four core principles
Causality is key
Frontier large language models are highly capable reasoning engines. We combine these models with expert-built causal knowledge graphs and increasingly personalised causal models. This allows the system to move beyond pattern recognition to identify which modifiable causes can have the biggest impact on a specific health outcome for a specific individual, and what will change when you intervene.
Learning compounds
Tracking interventions and responses creates new evidence: wearable data, biomarker measurements, symptom changes and member-reported outcomes. This continuous action-to-outcome data loop sharpens our understanding of each person and creates longitudinal evidence to evaluate and refine our models, compounding the platform's underlying intelligence.
Action follows reasoning
Clinical reasoning improves health outcomes when it leads to action. We are building the clinical and operational infrastructure that connects AI-assisted reasoning, through doctor review, to diagnostics, prescriptions, treatment fulfilment and specialist care pathways. Each action is recorded with its rationale and followed by outcome measurement, so every decision adds to the evidence base.
Regulation by design
The regulated right to act is fundamental to our model of care. Today, we deliver doctor-led, AI-assisted care through Calibre’s CQC-registered clinical service. We are following a staged medical-device pathway towards increasing AI autonomy: from doctor-led, AI-assisted care to AI-led, doctor-approved care, and ultimately autonomous care with human oversight. Evidence, safety and regulatory requirements gate each step.
Our consumer product, Calibre, already delivers care to its members in the UK. Dedicated doctors, supported by Causal AI, help members improve their energy levels and address cardiovascular and metabolic risk through personalised, continuous care.
We are expanding our causal models and clinical capabilities across a comprehensive suite of outcomes all integrated into a single continuous experience that delivers increasingly autonomous care.
